I gave this place a second chance after a bad experience, and it was just as bad. The first time, service was extremely slow and blamed on a large party. This time, I called in a pickup order, was quoted 35 minutes, and waited over an hour—again because of a large party. On top of that, my order was incomplete.
Used to love this place, but the quality isn't there anymore. Food was mediocre, and less than authentic. Margaritas had little to no tequila. Just not a pleasant experience.
This used to be our favorite go to Mexican restaurant, but I’m not sure what happened. The prices have doubled. You’re paying almost 5 dollars for one cup of soda. The girls used to be really friendly and talkative and how are you now they just run over to your table throw the stuff on the table and then come back five minutes later and then you don’t see them anymore yeah we won’t be going back.
From the very beginning, the owner was rude. I told her I was from San Diego visiting family and she told me that the old town in San Diego had horrible food and that their homemade tortillas taste like cardboard. I don't understand how there would be negative reviews about this place. I've been here quite a bit and have never had a bad experience. Maybe they're ordering the wrong thing. What I CAN tell you is that their Chili Verde is delicious, their beans are great, and I personally love their salsa. It's got just the right amount of heat and flavor. Everything I have tried so far has been delicious. Try it for yourself before you judge off bad reviews. I definitely think it's worth visiting.
