Oh boy, this isn't easy. Sal's is one of the very first Chapel Hill eateries I had when moving here 11 years ago. I lived right next to the family. They even babysat my kid. His favorite food in CH for years was Sal's. It's still his favorite Pizza, unless were going full five-star Napoli. For Halloween I asked him to choose the family dinner and he instantly said Sal's. The best deep dish pizza I have had in ages!! The salad was fresh. Flaky crust, great sauce and the cheese oh wow!! I am going again!!
Sal’s has become my favorite. Always excellent food and excellent service.
I've ordered the same meal from this place several times but this time the penne pasta was very dry even though I ordered beef with it and it had no cheese at all on it I also usually get some type of bread with the meal but didn't receive it I will not be going back to this place again
