TL;DR: go to Kai for great hair!! One of the hardest things about moving to a new area is finding a hairstylist you can trust. It took me almost 2 years of living in STL and (I’m not kidding) the absolute worst haircut of my life from a different salon before I found salon one six one and, specifically, Kai. Got my hair cut today by Kai and couldn’t have had a better experience. Theycut my hair exactly like how I wanted and were so helpful in helping me how to style it and take care of it. 5/5!
Charlie is fabulous. He cares deeply about his clients needs and has great suggestions. If you don’t know what exactly you want, he asks questions and uses his creativity. Not to mention his staff is very polite and the space is bright and welcoming. Highly recommend!
I can not say enough good things about my experience here! Haircuts generally make me anxious but my hairstylist Kai was so kind and I love my hair! Kai was really good about asking me what I liked and didnt and if anything needed to be changed, 10000% would recommend this salon
