I did not know what to expect from Salon Demir when I first went there. All I knew was that it was nearby, and that one of the people who worked there would wash my waist-length hair for me for $10. It may not have the atmosphere of more expensive, trendier places, but what it lacks in decor, it more than makes up for in cleanliness, kindness, helpfulness, and pure skill.
