I recently went to Salon 401 to get my hair dyed and a bang trim for the very first time. I've been struggling to find a new hair stylist after mine passed away. My whole experience with this salon was fantastic. The desk contacts were friendly and welcoming and made it easy to book an appointment. They accommodated my last minute request for an appointment and were flexible with my schedule. Very cute little shop. I had a problem with Larissa; if she does something wrong with your hair, it will be verbally turned around to make it sound like it was your fault through a friendly dispute. And while this discussion is taking place, the other hair stylists are staring and trying to listen to the conversation. Staff vehicles should not be parked directly in front of the front entry door. Usually they will park away from the building, so customers can park in the convenient spots.

• The shop was clean, cozy, and smelled great. • The staff was super friendly and helpful. • They had a minibar for customers, which was really nice. • I booked online for $170, but they called me right away after I booked to say there would be extra charges for my hair type. I booked an 11:00 appointment with one of their stylists. At 11:02, I called to let them know I was running just a couple of minutes late, only to be told that my appointment had already been moved to 12:00 with a completely different stylist. No one bothered to notify me of this change. If I hadn’t called, I never would have known. I’ve never experienced anything like this before, and I find it unbelievably unprofessional and disrespectful of my time.
