We have made several donations to this "non-profit" for decades. At our most recent drop-off at Kroger on Cemetery Road, the grumpy old man not only was reluctant to give us a receipt but made a rude comment suggesting that I donate my deceased Dad's ring that happened to be on my "fat fingers". As if any such donation would even make it to AMVETS. That's the type of guy who would slide it on his finger as if it belonged to him and shred the copy of the receipt to erase my Dad's generosity.
