Contaminated Suppliers, Bloody Cuticle, Did Not Clean Nails – Worst manicure experience yet. The manicurist was very rough. She tore my cuticle and it would not stop bleeding. She used a bottle with chemicals to stop the bleeding, but put the bottle nozel right in my bloody gash totally contaminating my cut and also contaminating the bottle that they will reuse on other people. Clean and Fast – This is the first nail salon I have been to and I was quite impressed. I went to the newer salon on 16th St and 3rd Ave. They greeted you at the door and even helped with my bags. The lady that actually did my nails was very good and pretty quick. The prices are reasonable (under $10) for just a basic manicure. The only thing is that it would best if you brought cash. reliable and friendly service, reasonable prices – When I first moved to NYC, I tried several different nail salons. When I came across Sally Nails on 14th Street, my search was over. Not only are the prices better than most of the other salons around, but everyone is friendly and they listen to what you want. i highly recommend this salon. At first I thought it was a normal salon but with a fancy look, with regular services...u know just manicure pedicure and the usual, but there were so much more. There were different massages (reflexology, back, etc...) and more importantly facials. This is where they surprised me...the facial specialists were all licensed, as well as the other technicians. horrible! – I work in the neighborhood, and just stopped in for a manicure. there was a customer that was so rude- and when she was told who to go to, she started screaming saying that she didn't like the manicure lady - i thought she was crazy. then the woman next to me.. her manicure lady kept forgetting to do everythingto her right hand. then my turn- she nearly ripped off my cuticles... my nails were bleeding. i had red nail polish on before, and they are still red everywhere, looks terrible.... i got a massage that was ... read more
Best Place to get a manicure especially on the go... – I've been to this place several times before and each time I have to say I've had great service. Some people although casually run into some bad technicians but the majority of them are really great! I got a manicure today and had my eyebrows done today for the first time at Sallys' and they came out pretty nice. I love this place! – This place is always busy with a constant stream of regulars. They take their time on you, but you never have to wait long! The owner greets everyone as if he's known them for years. Moved here 6 months ago, tried lots of other manicure/pedicure/massage places, and have now officially made this my go-to spot. Had my eyebrows done by Yuki and I will only go to her now. Had a 1 hour massage that was great! A good manicure/pedicure is a total crapshoot... – it all depends on who you get. I've had excellent service there, and I've also had no-so-excellent service. The best idea is to set your expectations a little lower before you go in.
