Do not use this. I have been paying off a $10,220 loan for 3 years now, at $140 a month. I still have $9,100 to pay off. This company is predatory, and is very difficult to work with. They refuse to take off the cosigner unless you have completed college. So if you drop out and have a 100% on time payment history, they will not remove the cosigner. Customer service is abysmal at best, as they have no clue how to do anything. Do not work with this company, your local loan shark would be a better bet.
Sallie Mae is one of 3/4 student loan providers I currently have, literally they sell loans every few years.... And Sallie Mae is by far the worst, 3 hour wait times when calling, timelines when an email should be received last 15 plus days, it's an email yo. Oh by the way transferred 5 times after calling the number I was provided for my circumstance only to be told by a 'manager' we don't care and you owe us money, how can you pay today? I attempted suicide three times because of this company. I'm in a really bad financial situation so of course I seek financial help for school, and this company has just screwed me over. I tried deferring my loan as I am still in school, but they denied it because why not I guess? So now I'm kinda just backed into a corner and can't really do anything about it. Companies like this shouldn't be allowed to exist
Don't send me physical (or any) mail offering school loans with no opt out info. Very irritating.
Nothing but predators.
