Went to Sala when I had great insurance but lost it shortly after. I liked their service but couldn't afford the outrageous fees. They automatically schedule you for follow up appointments. Apparently cancelling one of them for not having insurance wasn't enough and I was charged a fee for missing the appointment. I was sent to collections for missed appointment fees. ZERO Stars! I arrived for my scheduled X-ray and teeth cleaning a program for $399 that would cover one X-ray and two teeth cleanings. Much to my surprise the hygienist insisted that I upgrade my cleaning to a deep cleaning for an additional $895 per side I was not prepared to do that today. she said it would take an additional hour to complete and we clearly would have been out of time for my appointment. BE CAREFUL!! There's a reason there are so many negative reviews about the billing department at this place. When I initially called, I asked specifically if they accepted my insurance and if they were in-network. I was told that they did, so I went in for an appointment and I had an amazing experience. The hygienist and dentist were super nice and very knowledgeable, which is really unfortunate because I will never be returning here. I told him I wanted to go to Costa Rica because I need implants and it would be half the price. He said in a very snooty voice, "I could send your x rays to Costa Rica then." Shoutout to Sala Family Dentistry for not booking appointments for nurses on top of cancellations and rescheduling appointments 30 days out.
RecommendedRachel did an amazing job cleaning my teeth last time and Dr Justin was very informative and didn't make me feel like he was rushing to get out of the room. They both took their time and made my appointment comfortable and relaxing. Beautiful office. Friendly employees. They have all their bases covered. I had an emergency situation on a vacation in Reno, not many options where to go on a Saturday. I was treated well while being extremely overcharged. I did think it was probably double what it would have been in home state of Ohio, which I would have somewhat understood. Their charge was $582 for treatment that would have been $100 in network with insurance covering $155.
