just as good as NYC – Brand new to Portsmouth from NYC I have say Sake's sushi does not fall short of restauarants in New York City. Fresh Sushi, huge maki list, and most of all they have authentic japanese Shabu Shabu, for those of you know what this just go try it. Some wait staff may not be able to communicate english as well as you like but they get the job done. Charming, friendly place do try it if you are ever in town.

Don't miss the Red Bean, Green Tea, & GInger Ice cream (Fried or Regular) – I know it sounds odd but after living in Korea for a couple years where red bean desserts are common I was up to try Sake's Red Bean Fried Ice Cream. The group I was with was skeptical but the taste won them over & some ordered seconds. The green tea and ginger are also great. The main coarse be it sushi, maki rolls, or noodles is wonderful too though the service can at times be slow.

best sushi in town, fun and friendly service – I've been going to sake since I was 17, when my parents first moved here they found sake and we've been going there twice a month every month for the past 7 years. the sushi is so fresh and consistant always so good! the owners will always says hi and make us feel like its our other home and the staff though have change through the 7 years but one thing stayed the same and its their friendly fast service, Look for their bake scallop in spicy sauce and alligator maki!
