I did have a couple of nurses and nursing assistants that gave decent care but most really did not do a very good job. I also was given a double dose of my blood pressure medicine which I thought was a bad mistake. Glad I had someone staying with me since I was not that alert after surgery and also from pain medicine would hate to rely completely on the nursing staff for care.
We loved this hospital! The nurses were so attentive, and genuinely care for their patients we love our guardian angels in ICU, and to all the wonderful cardiologists you all are amazing
Wait forever to be seen, then wait months to get correctly billed. It's been six months since I went, and they have billed me six times the amount of my insurance deductible. I've called multiple times and spleen to both St.Thomas Rutherford's billing department, and my insurance. Both parties have agreed that the bill is incorrect, but the hospital has yet to correct my account, despite supposedly noting the correction multiple times on the account, and continue to send me bills for the insane amount. This is ridiculous!
Labor and delivery is great. Most of the nurses I encountered were super friendly and helpful and so are the lactation consultants. The nurses in NICU are phenomenal. They really care about your baby and do everything they can to help especially Ashely and Liz. The neonatologist Dr. Williams was great as well. Nothing but good things to say about them. I'm going to, as a rape survivor, be an advocate for the sexually assaulted woman yall put in the hallway bed. I heard where she hurt. I occasionally heard what the police officer and her discussed. How humiliating for her. I truly hope you never do this again to anyone who has been traumatized ..her HIPPA was not honored, nor her dignity.
Not only do you get poor care while you are here, the billing staff will over charge you for everything they can. We just paid off some medical debt we owed, not even a month after we paid it off, they tried to tack on another $800 for services that were 2 years ago!! We had to have our insurance go after them to get them to stop. So people, seriously, check your bills, ask for detailed billing, because I promise you, they will add on anything they can, even if it was a service that was not provided to you.
