I would give this 0 if I could, went in this evening. There were 0 people in the waiting room, I didn't have an " emergency " but I needed a prescription asap for birth control and am not able to leave work to go do this in the daytime.so I went after hours.there were at least 5 staff just sitting around in the back. They took my registration and said the doctor probably won't see me but they will assess me anyway, which is fine I just need the prescription. Was very impressed with the Melville hospital. When l called to see how busy it was they said it would not be a long wait. Told them we had no family doctor and asked if any doctors were taking new patients. The lady at the hospital gave me a number for the community service right in the hospital. They had two doctors taking new patients. When l called the receptionist was very nice. I told her l was looking for a doctor. Told her my son was ill for over a week and not getting any better. 5 hour wait because I was “low priority” for an infection that could have turned septic. Nurses are nice though, they felt really bad for me…
Worst place to go.if you feel bad, they will wait 4 hours to tell you that you have to wait more 4 hours to be attended
Seriously, 5 hours of waiting to get some stitches cut?? The staff is chatting, walking around the halls, the waiting room is empty! And 5 hours of waiting? And still !! Something is not right here.
