Save your time and don't go to this ER, go somewhere else. I waited over 4 hours to be treated , and the doctors/nurses did not take me seriously at all.

I came there didn’t get in until about one hour later on top of that. They didn’t even put me in an actual room and the nurses and the people at the front desk were just entirely dismissive and rude. On top of that, they had my urine and my blood samples cup on a Random Open countertop That anybody could’ve taken it or it could’ve spilled out so not sanitary. Then after having an IV injected into me, I ended up throwing up and they just gave me a throw up bag, and I had to do it in an open hallway with no curtains around me ... read more

Just no. Nurses are rude.. & My grandma just went because of so much pain for them to turn her away and not even give her ibuprofen or anything. Now here at KU… she just had her VERY inflamed gallbladder taken out WITH an abscess behind. And don’t even get me started on when I went there. I was homeless years back, same abdominal pain for me and they wouldn’t even touch me. Just tested for std’s (NEG) and sent me home. Shame on you St. Luke’s. And I will always mention these situations to anyone I can.

Before I start review I would like to say this is not related to everyone that works at St. Lukes North-Barry Rd. My last visit to the ER last night ( 9/25/26) was extremely unpleasant. The triage RN Julie was unplesant and dismissive. When we know that our child is not feeling well that is already hard enough, we don’t need Julie in our lives. I cincerely hope that someone coaches her on interaction with patients/visitors/family because that that she had shown last night is far away from kindness and professionalism.
