This library is horrible! They’re destroying children’s innocence by hosting a drag queen story hour.

I would love to congratulate the St Joseph Public Library on their decision to hold Drag Queen Story Time! Thank you for continuing to help teach love and acceptance of people from all walks of life. Not every child will will be straight or cisgendered and with how high the suicide rate is in LGBTQIA+ youth I cant imagine a more positive experience than to teach them from a young age that there are people who love them just the way they are.
By cancelling the Drag Queen Story Hour! Would any decent person take their children to a library where public displays of gender confusion take place with the goal of morally corrupting children?
Get rid of Drag Queen Story hours for children!!! How sickening! I will work against any library levy ballot initiative as long as this trash continues!
This is not your place to teach about drag queens..
Our library system has been pivotal in providing access to learning for people of ALL walks of life, and has provided a non-biased, accepting, and welcoming space for everyone regardless of their differences. I commend them on their recent diversity and inclusion initiatives that send a positive, inclusive message to the community. Bravo. ❤😊
I’m proud to have a library system in my community that recognizes that the role of a PUBLIC taxpayer funded library is to serve EVERYONE in their community. I realize that this might mean that they offer programs, books and other materials that might go against my personal beliefs but the beauty of a PUBLIC library is that I’m not forced to read, watch or attend these services. Keep up the great work.
