There are plenty of books to read for number one. There are helpful and well-informed people working there and always something amazing happening.

Do not host drag queen story hour in St Joseph, Mo. Rember this the next election for taxes. I see no reason to boost cost of operations for security. I will not be voting for another tax increase in the future. I have always supported the library. Lorie Swenson St. Joseph Mo. 17th and Mitchell. I am neither pro gay or against it. I feel it is wrong to present this program to such young impressionable children. Ib would have thought after it was determined you would need extra security the program would have been cancelled!
It is so important to continue supporting this institution that benefits so many. I would have been lost without this place growing up, and it remained an important part of my life as an adult too. I've since moved across the country and no longer get a chance to visit this wonderful library, but having access to such a wide range of literature and support during my developmental years affected me in ways that will last a lifetime. Long live public libraries!
That they would promote an unhealthy and unsafe lifestyle to young children..who cannot discern the implications of Drag Queens in their young minds. For shame St. Joseph's Public Library.

Sexual preferences have no place in a childhood setting. Indoctrinating children is not okay.
