Emergency staff install cateter and attach walking bag to my leg (directly, no tubings in between). They didn't have me night bag, that should have long tubing and clipped to the bed below. Cal them, and they insistedly defend themselves with ridiculous suggestions, mainy insisting that liquid can flow uphill.
My husband had a stroke in the middle of the night. I immediately called 911. After the ambulance left with him, I called our children. Then I left for the hospital. We waited 3 hours before the surgeon arrived, still in his nightclothes. His comment when he finally got there was one of surprise. He said, "He's Still having the stroke"! Then he explained to me that there was a new policy that the patient not be given an injection till the Dr arrived.
