We were traveling through when my husband began feeling unwell. Luckily, Saint Alphonsus was at the very next exit. We got to the ER about 6:30 a.m. on a Sunday, were taken right back, and treated immediately. The nurses and ER doctors were fantastic. Very caring, very friendly, and very thorough.
Do not go to the emergency room here. They will treat you like an idiot and sending you home. My husband went in with severe chest pain and shortness of breathe. He was discharged 3 hours later, the dr said he had a stomach bug. Went to St. Lukes the next night, he was admitted at 11:30pm and had surgery the following morning. The Dr. at St. Lukes took the time to order the correct tests to find out what was wrong with him. If you have an emergency, go to St. Lukes. Avoid St. ALs. They will not treat you properly.
Skip the ambulance--GO straight to St.Luke's children's Boise. St. AL'S is Not good for Pediatrics! Just go to St. Luke's Children's hospital if you want the best treatment. You'll get transferred there anyway if it is severe enough. St Al's Nampa Doctor gaslit my husband and I saying, "well I dont see any retractions and (our baby) was fine now" and nearly discharged our 8 month old with trouble breathing!! Have been to this emergency department multiple times, always taken great care of me, the process can be slow at times but that’s with all medical things, great people and great care
