Had an Aortic heart valve replacement 13 years ago. Annual echocardiogram and consult visit with the cardiologist and or PA, until 4 years ago when my cardiologist retired. Default transfer to another cardiologist for ongoing care but have NEVER met the person, have only seen a PA. Last two years, cardiologist has cancelled our meeting at the "eleventh hour", even though I am in the 13th year of the tissue valve replacement.
