After months of indecision on where to go get my second tattoo, I settled on Bear at Sailor’s Cross Tattoo. Bear was very open to everything that I wanted and did not want and made sure to ask before he made any changes. He was even cool with the last minute choice to swap the placement from my arm to my calf and to do color instead of just black and gray. Came in for a Friday 13th flash tattoo and it was an absolutely stellar experience. I was the first one tattooed of the day and they were extremely kind and accommodating. I was tattooed by M and her work even on a quick tattoo like this is phenomenal, even after 5-6 hours it was barely raised and didn’t even hurt. The shop is very clean, the artists are very professional while still keeping a fun environment with their clients. Could not recommend more.
I got tattooed by Bear in Chicago this past weekend, and I couldn't be happier! He took a terrible old stick and poke, and turned it into a beautiful rose. He fit it into my existing pieces organically, and it looks better than I ever imagined. Bear and Sailors Cross is beyond awesome, not only is the art amazing, but Bear himself was super friendly and easy going. If I'm ever in New Orleans, I will definitely be visiting the shop. 10 out of 10. Thanks Bear/Sailors Cross!

Me and my wife went to get tattoo work done and found this gem by surprise. Best tattoo shop on the street and even New Orleans for that matter. Very polite. Great conversation and awesome artwork being done. They make you feel like you're apart of their tattoo shop family and definitely a place we'd come back too. Rene is a awesome tattoo artist.
This was my first tattoo and I can honestly say that thanks to Bear and everyone at Sailor’s Cross, it won’t be my last! They are very friendly and professional. Bear talked me through the whole thing and put me at ease. The atmosphere is awesome and I’m looking forward to adding to my piece in the future!
