The Doctor is plesant and knowledgable howerver her support staff leaves MUCH to be desired. My mail order pharmacy had been sending them faxs and numerous phone calls for the Doctor to OK a script for me and the mail order pharmacy never got a response. There is also a long wait when you call the office. I waited for 2 weeks for my script to be validated by the Doctor's office and I went without my diabetes drug for 2 weeks. Dr. Elahi is smart, kind and very relatable. You can tell she likes helping people and I felt heard. Seeing doctors lately has been a nightmare (waste of time, ect) so it was so nice to see someone who cares. She understands how the thyroid works and explains it in a way that’s easy to understand. I did initially have an appointment issue with the girls at the front but that doesn’t reflect on the doctor. They need to be more mindful, as it falls on the doctor’s reviews when they had nothing to do with that part of it.
Definitely needs a better admin team. My appointment was cancelled one month after booking the because apparently she is now not accepting new patients and a referral is required. I was not informed of this for a month after the appointment was booked. Also, my primary doctor who advised me to arrange the visit is part of the same medical group. You would imagine things will be more convenient in such cases.
Dr. Safia Elahi is a very good doctor. Today was my first appointment with her. She listened to me in great detail and tried to find out what I needed most and then gave me the right treatment. She is very kind and understanding.
Excellent doctor! Pays attention to patients and cares!
