RecommendedI like Safeway, but it saddens me that my Safeway has almost no frozen vegetables that can be steamed in the bag in a microwave. I eat those vegetables every day. I have to go to Giant grocery store to buy them. I go to the store in Rosslyn, Virginia. Thank you.
This store (Wilson boulevard and George mason drive in arlington va) is very unfriendly to seniors. They recently started carding everyone who tries to buy wine even if you have gray hair and wrinkles. They tried to card me for champagne on my 78th birthday. I left and got my beverage at another Safeway. Really rotten shopping experience. I realize there’s additional stress in stores now, but they don’t have to take it out on septuagenarians.
prices are good. fruits and vegetables are one of the best. this Safeway has free parking... self check out is the best... the only thing I don't like is a cashier who cant add.
It’s what there is in Rosslyn, so if you’re here, great. Otherwise, go to literally any other Safeway and you’ll be better off. No fresh bakery, long lines, limited selection.
It's convenient but you have to check the expiration date on everything, and I mean everything. Fruit is often molding and old and still on the Shelf.
This is the worst grocery store I've ever encountered - from the aggressive homeless drug addicts that greet you at the store front to the dirty interior to the lack of common products (out of zucchini, cilantro, rosemary, chili powder, etc), this store does not feel welcoming in the least. Worst of all it is never properly staffed - the lines on any given day at any given time are ridiculous at best. The only good thing I can say about this place is the cashiers are always friendly.
