DON’T waste your money on the Fresh Fruit Tarts! They must overcooking, boiling the cream filling causing the custard is curdled and it is disgusting! Their crusts are not crisp like they should be either. We have purchased the small $9 Tarts and the big $20 ones and they are all TERRIBLE! The Safeway in Philomath has delicious Tarts that are always crisp and the custard is smooth and creamy, not curdled! Christmas Eve at 7pm I made a last minute run into Newport for bananas and a few other things and Safeway was still open. They closed the store shortly after I entered and made two announcements over the next 20 minutes that they were now closed and to please come to the front of the store to check out. My cashier, Scott, went over and above by grabbing the Safeway ad and scanning in coupons that saved me over $10 on my purchase! Thank you Cashier Scott!
