Did my shopping at Safeway today. I spent $152.60. It's a long round trip for me to buy groceries. As I am checking out, I noticed that the bagger was loading my paper bags heavily and haphazardly. I asked her to not load them so heavy since I need to carry them up stairs and I prefer to have my groceries intact when I unpack them. Instead of packing the bags lighter, she gave me extra empty bags so I could re bag them before I could load and unload them into and out of my vehicle. I generally like Safeway...until I have to checkout. By far the worst checkout process executed by a grocery store. This store either needs: A - more cashiers (especially during peak hrs); or B - a two register self checkout (limit 20 items). Tighten up!
