they aren't providing their staff with proper PPE and aren't enforcing the mask requirement. they're putting the whole community at risk, and not only will i not shop there, i will actively discourage all of my friends to not shop there.
Poor selection, shelves not properly stocked, poor customer service.
One of the cashiers at Safeway in Fortuna was making jokes about the empty shellves.This is NOT a joking matter whatsoever. Also anyone want to tell me WHY Safeway ia not put a limit on the items that greedy, selfish people are buying by the cartloads??? By not placing item limit amounts, Safeway is just as greedy as the rats running into Safeway and buying as much as they can. It's so selfish and disgusting, it's an embarrassment that there are such greedy gross people out there
One of the checkers was very rude to me the other day. He said he couldn’t hear so he had us write on the notepad. I was handing him my money when he put his hand up in front of my face saying I’m not ready for that yet, in a very rude way. Couldn’t remember his name. Will not be going in his line again.
Constantly understaffed with minimal check out lanes open including days before Christmas. Employees even complain to costumers how poorly managed this store is. It's been like this for years. Thank God for Grocery Outlet down the street.

I have shopped at Safeway for years. I can remember my mother taking us grocery shopping when Safeway was where Fortuna Ace Hardware is now. It has always been an enjoyable experience until lately. There is a huge decline in customer service and general respect for customers. It seems not all customers are treated equally. I've witnessed some blatant bias in the checkout line. It is very troublesome.
The worst Safeway I've ever been into in my life the woman at the deli counter did not know how to wrap a tortilla
