The Iowa city location SUCKS. very very rude. Had no idea what they were doing apparently. didn’t even apologize for THEIR screw up and arguing with me when they were wrong. Not very happy.

The Installer was very late in arriving and was not very comfortable in doing the new windshield install. Didn't know how to open the hood of the vehicle and was not very cordial. The windshield wipers do not work now after the new windshield was installed. Would not recommend them at all.
RecommendedI had a rock chip on my windshield. They fixed it in about 30 minutes. You can not see were the chip was at.
The service people were friendly, kind, helpful, and, most importantly, knew their job. They replaced my windshield and recalibrated the sensors perfectly! Thank you!
They showed up at our house when they said they would. The Technician was very professional, and kind. Will recommend Safelite as they treated us with the most respect any person could ask for.
Safelite Iowa City repaired a chip in my vehicle and Nathan indicated it was warren-teed if it ever grew into a crack. After some time, it did start to grow into a crack, so I brought it back and they would not repair the crack without me paying another $500. Very disappointed. Safe Lites website refers to a lifetime warranty. they also indicated it would be cheaper if I did not use insurance (??) - Isn't this insurance fraud?
My husband took his car in to get a chip in his windshield repaired. 20 minutes later, it was done...$20 less than quoted, PLUS....they cleaned all of his windows AND vacuumed out his car. Mike says their customer service was second to none! Impressive!!! Thank you!
If at all possible, take your vehicle elsewhere. I took my truck in for a rock chip, the guy was rude and acted like I was stupid because I was female, and didn't fill the whole chip. Naturally, it spidered out and now I have to replace the whole windshield at my own cost, because it wasn't done correctly the first time.
