While I haven't had the opportunity to visit, it's amazing what they did to save the animals during the wildfires! It truly shows how much these animals mean to them.
Our family loved our 2 day stay at Safari West, we pray at this time for the park, all the animals and staff. May the fire keeps it's distance and the smoke clear the air, Amen.
Safari West is one of those places where I didn't realize what a gem it was until I left a week before Tubbs fire began. The owners began a breeding place for African animals and in order to continue their project they built it into a showplace for visitors. They trade animals with other zoos. I absolutely love this place and had my daughter's birthday here last year and everything was perfect. We stayed the night on the ground and had a blast. I know it will be a birthday she will always remember.
