I never leave reviews, but this place was by far the worst I’ve ever rented. In December of 2024 our furnace blew and set off the sprinklers while it filled the apartment with carbon monoxide. We had an infant and my wife was pregnant. They never fully got the moisture out of the carpets, which grew black mold. The city inspectors inspected the “repairs” multiple times and repetitively failed them because the furnace was never up to code. We called about black mold in the bathroom that never got fixed. These apartments are great! Quiet, clean, and very friendly staff. Yes, the complex is not brand new and things do break and things do happen. I’ve saw so many negative reviews regarding charges, leaks, etc. But the office has always communicated changes on our lease price, amenity fee changes and so on. The buildings are older so yes things do happen but maintenance is very quick to respond and whoever their dry waller is does fantastic work and works very quickly. had a great experience for about the first month. this place will charge you $27 a month (not optional) for their “valet” trash service (have lived here a year and a half and have used it one time because the dumpster is 10 feet from my door there’s no need for someone else to come take my trash for a dollar a day). our kitchen floor is uneven. there’s a rotting board under our carpet that has yet to be fixed. they charge $46 a month for “amenities” (also not optional) these include the fireplace in your apartment (which is ... read more
I’m not typically that person that does things like this, but this is the quality of apartment you get at Saddlebrook in Urbandale, IA operated by Richdale Group Property Management. Water pipes in other apartments bursting, hot water heater leaking, plumbing issues, Mold and mildew…These are just a sample of what I have endured while residing there. Now they want to evict me for choosing not to pay rent for the last 11 days on my lease. Why would I pay for this crap? Apparently $$ is their only goal. Not community or reside... read more
