Our visit was very different than any other vet that I’ve been too. Staff goes above and beyond putting their patient first. My pup was allowed to be curious and not hurried. I also liked that that they allow the owner (me☺️) to be involved to help. I asked a lot of questions which were always answered enthusiastically. Our first visit was wonderful.
I don't recommend taking a reactive dog to this clinic due to the staff's lack of communication and knowledge about fear-free practices. I have been a client since 2025 for my nonreactive dog and my recently adopted sick, now-reactive puppy. Prior to my experiences this past May, I felt confident in Sactown Vet's staff; however, I had several poor experiences with Dr. Nunes and the staff. Avoid SacTown Vet! Shocked how poorly they treated us after we’ve been with them for over a year. They refused to vaccinate my dog after only a few minutes and still charged the full $91 visit fee despite providing no real care. I clearly explained my dog has some sensitivity from past veterinary trauma. During the exam, they touched her from behind without warning, she gave a brief warning response (no bite), and they immediately stopped and refused to continue.
