I didn’t think I could find a hospital worse than KMC but boy was I wrong. The nursing staff was phenomenal but the policies and procedures in this place are backwards. Facility is old, ran down, and down right dirty. Lab refused to use the same port they have been using to draw blood from me the entire time saying they weren’t allowed to. After 12 hours and finally getting admitted they told me at 2 am my spouse could not stay with me, but no prior mention of this in the ER. I was admitted beginning of the week and having a few different nurses Kate REALLY stood out. She’s kind, empathetic and goes above and beyond to make sure you comfortable! Her attitude also helped out our stay!
My child had surgery here and the nurse that came and got us asked my child all the questions I had my granddaughter with me and my daughter was having surgery. She within the first five min told me I had to have dad phone the surgeon. That I couldn't sign for her it was such a trip I called my ex husband at work and let him know so it disrupt his day at work. My husband's surgeon told him to go to sacred heart ER because he had an infection after surgery. We drove 2 hours to get here and have waited 4 hours and still waiting, and they have brought back the majority of the people in the waiting room. NEVER AGAIN WILL WE COME TO THIS ER. When I politely asked about his wait time they were rude and disrespectful. It has been a HUGE mistake coming here! Been here for over 12 hours still haven't seen anyone. I have asked and said I am waiting on a scan. How can they order a scan without seeing anyone? Seriously stay away. I thought this was going to be better then the KMC and it's even worse. I had a friend bring ke my pain killers so i could be a little comfortable and the edge off of my pain. Never will come back here again. If I could give 0 stars I would.
