Great water flow. Terrible vendor. Totally disorganized, aggressively unfriendly. There are other vendors that treat customers much better.

I worked for Fred and Prudy about 26 years ago! Very nice people to work for. My favorite time to go down the river was in the fall while it was still warm and the fall colors were at their peak. Summer is fun too, best time for swimming, but in the fall you get the colors and possibly the whole river to yourself. So go twice if you can make it. I still have the Old Town Tripper canoe my Mom bought all those years ago. Still floats,LOL, and is in good shape too. If you want to own your own canoe or kayak, Old Town is the way... read more
The water was so clear the 10 miles,I paddled. The views were awesome..and the people were very friendly we met on the way.
