I’ve been at the hospital for over 9 hours now, and what’s most surprising is that in all this time, no one in the waiting area has been called in or received any updates. There has been a complete lack of communication from the staff, which has made the wait even more stressful. I understand that hospitals can get busy, but some form of update or acknowledgment would go a long way in helping patients and families feel seen and cared for. This experience has been very frustrating and disappointing.

If you need to be at the ER due to an urgent matter, you will get seen promptly. Too many people go to the ER for something stupid when they should see their primary care physician or go to a walk-in clinic. If you haven’t been seen and it’s been hours on end… ask yourself: am I in the right place for my health issue…? Probably not. I was seen promptly at this ER and Dr. Robichaud was exceptional. Well done.
