We just finished dinner at Ryu and it was hands down the best experience we’ve ever had at a local restaurant. The entire staff was so friendly and accommodating. We came in with our entourage of kids and we were a little louder and crazier than their average customer, yet they were so friendly and happy to welcome us! Literally the best sushi in the Southeast Valley
DOUBLE CHECK YOUR BILL. They are shady when it comes to the actual prices. Also, look for a gratuity charge if you party is below 6. I had a party of 5 and was charge 20% gratuity eventho the menu said 6 or more. Then, as i was looking at the price of things compared to their website/pdf menu I was over charged for that as well. I ordered the Teppan Chick and NY Steak combo (7oz/5oz) and menus shows $28 dollars but i was charged $20 for chicken and $15 for the 5 oz steak... This is our absolute favorite for sushi and tepanyaki. Today we went and we forgot it doesn't open until 5 and we were there a little early, and they let us in 15 mins early (which we did not ask them to do), because they didn't want us waiting in the car. We had our two boys with us and the manager took time to teach our boys how to use chopsticks and she was significantly more successful than we've ever been. They are incredibly gluten-free friendly.
