As I read these reviews I am not surprised. I have been on the phone for well over an hour on hold waiting for ANYONE to answer the phone.and I get an answer from Devinda who is clearly in India and cannot find my account.That's just fine i cannot either even though i am looking at a Rymes invoice for fuel delivered to the house i am sitting in and the account number is clearly printed just above the hazmat and fuel recovery fees that i was not aware i have been paying.Is it just me or fuel companies are just as bad as insur... read more

We decided after being a long-time customer 15 years plus to switch to a new oil provider. In 2021 we were under contract at a reasonable gallon price. Towards the end of our contract, we had 100 plus gallons that could have been delivered. Instead, Rymes let our contract expire without notifying us. In prior years they would reach out. We were told they did not have enough employees. Customer service is poor. Trying to reach someone is impossible unless you have time waiting on hold. We are getting away from Rymes at lightning speed. I suggest to any potential new customer do your homework! Rymes wasn't too bad 20 years ago but man they are now! I should have known years ago when we had them hook up our propane stove and run a line to our grill , the guy they sent worked nearly 5 hours running line , just ridiculous, tried to charge me over 600 dollars. Rymes Heating and Oil is, ruthless. How does anyone use them? In February 2022 we needed oil and propane. The phones not answered, no live people over there. Told by Shayla in email hundreds of calls every morning until late at night. My question is WHY? Complaints on Facebook and Hudson Group. they told me that they would charge $150 per hour for technician to check my heating system and charged $225. Can not get any explanation from them. They blackmailed me to pay us or no propane ever.

I switched to a new supplier on 12/8/21 because Rymes decided to increase my price per gallon by $2.59 a gallon. Their last delivery was on 12/1/21 at $4.11 per gallon so the tanks have about $600 worth of fuel in them that I am owed a refund on and tanks are still sitting in my driveway 2 months later. They are in the way of the snow removal and the new tank. I understand they charge a restocking fee and I have no intention of paying it, if anything they owe me for storage fees and a refund. I started having problems with Rymes when they misquoted a new heating system for my home. One price was given and when I agreed they doubled the cost ( original was $2800, second quote was $5200) . After getting 3 other estimates I realized that Rymes was overcharging almost double for the same system. There have been several phone calls , the most recent being September 15, I called at 3:42 and spoke with Brandon. Explained I needed my tank removed and a refund for the propane ( tank is full ) . Classic bait and switch. We were told there would be no charge for propane tanks for our generator if we purchased our propane from Rymes Propane. Tanks were delivered and installed without our approval at a cost of $3300.00. My wife and I are on a fixed income and we are not in a position to deal with this ****. ****** *******

By far the worst fuel supplier I have ever dealt with. Absurd "flexible" prices that always flex in Rymes favor. Customer service rivaled by a bag of sand. Refused to make delivery accepting partial payment when it was an emergency before a snow storm with busted pipes due to them refusing to make delivery. Total trash. Cross your fingers we survive the cold. My pet snake already died today.
