Private party. 3 course meal was amazing. I had the grain salad , chicken with Brussels sprouts and the flourless choc cake.
Absolutely great dinner. My husband loved his scallops and my chicken Marsala was wonderful. Our waiter, Kyle, was very attentive and thoughtful. When he learned it was our anniversary, he brought us two glasses of champagne on the house and had a bottle of wine sent to our room.
Group of 5 for dinner. We had to wait about 20 minutes past our reservation time to be seated. That seemed to be the only setback. The food was wonderful. I had the cowboy ribeye and it was prepared perfectly! We were all very happy with our selections. The wait staff did a great job of attending to our needs! The prices were secondary to the quality. I would recommend The RYE for any special dinner celebration.
I am updating my review due to Rye's prompt and sincere response. We are long time patrons of Chives and Chives D.C. We love the food and service every time we dine there. This weekend,I tried Rye and there were some concerning elements of our visit that didn't align with the Chives brand and history of excellence. I shared those comments here, and received an almost immediate response that was genuine and clear that they sincerely valued their guest's feedback. Atmosphere was inviting, food was amazing In how it was presented as well as being delicious, wait staff was very friendly!
The pork with Risotto was great. The risotto had some squash in it and was the best ever. Beating out the bacon wrapped pork for favorite thing on the plate. Dan C. is the best ever! I know he made the experience eating there twice as good. He knew everything about the menu items and his recommendation based on what I told him I was interested in eating was spot on!
