I live in a food desert. Although the place is pricey, the only other alternative is to go another half mile to QT. I prefer this place because it is a long walk to QT or Kum & Go. The prices are higher because so much gets stolen by the hood-rats. The poor get to eat less if at all because of the crime rate. Many disabled cannot travel to the other stores. It takes a certain type of person to keep the doors open even under extenuating circumstances.
Everyone is so kind and friendly.
I appreciate that this place is so close by and convenient, but I wish they’d lower the prices at least a little. Even cheap cigarettes are more expensive here than other gas stations. All food items are way too high. Marked up so high that I feel bad for people who don’t have a vehicle and have to rely on this place for food. You can easily spend a fortune on just a few items. More people would buy more here (I know I would) if the prices were a little lower.
