I was very impressed with Dr. Wicks. He took the time to explain the surgery, what complications could possibly occur and why the surgery was necessary. I had my appendectomy and came home a few hours later.
This guy is absolutely amazing. Another doc pulled me off all pain meds when I had a small bowel obstruction. I was in excruciating pain. Dr Wicks put me back on the pain meds. The other doc wanted a very painful tube down my nose to drain my stomach. Dr Wicks said that wasn’t necessary. The other doc told the staff to only give nausea meds every 6 hrs. I was regularly vomiting. Dr Wicks moved it to every 4 hrs. He is knowledgeable & has a wonderful bed side manner. I think he saved my life.
