Dr. Harris truly cares about his patients! His heart is 100% in his practice! Excellent bedside manners, polite, listens, explains in detail, cares and has a heart of gold! I’m so thankful he is my Orthopedic Dr. plus the Blacksburg VA staff is absolutely amazing! I highly recommend this Dr. and location!

"Dr." Harris refused to even see me after my PCP made a referral based. His refusal was based SOLELY on one number on my lab work. After much discussion with their unprofessional staff, it turns out they were looking at lab work from nearly 2 years ago which has been repeated every 6 months with much improvement. I have had 2 hip surgery’s with Dr . Harris and would trust no one else. He is up to date on his procedures, very personable, explains everything well and answered all my questions. He truly cares about his patients and demands perfection in his surgical outcomes.
I have had two total knee replacements With Dr.Harris.The most recent in March of 2021.He replaced a knee I had done 15 years ago and wore out.Otherwise known as a total knee revision.This man is so skilled that I was able to walk out of the hospital THAT NIGHT.Best around hands down.
Did knee arthroscopic. Absolutely wonderful! Explained thoroughly, wish I'd listened when he recommended therapy. But he did what he said. After surgery, explained what he did thoroughly. Was very professional and personable!
I was a patient of Dr. Harris's several years ago and had a total hip and a total shoulder replaced. I couldn't have asked for a more caring and professional physician. Hopefully if I have to have more surgeries in the future I will ask for him. I trust him and really like him and that makes a huge factor in deciding if I want a doctor to be operating on me.
He is very professional (which I am not) and he is excellent at his job. Of corse I wish he would smile a little more, but then again he is a doctor.
Rude, unprofessional, does not take time to explain ANYTHING. He has this idea that he is better than he is. I have no basis for opinions on his surgery because I would not get that far with him. I have filed a report to Carilion about this doctor. I had 3 visits. First was a 2nd opinion and he was professional but did not spend much time with me. Ordered xrays and an MRI. Wrong brace, wrong PT, terrible attitude. Get more than one opinion
