Dr Pate was professional, quick and efficient. He listened to my concerns, had reviewed my knee x-rays and explained everything to me.When I left, I understood what to do and why. This is the type of care I really appreciate,

Clearly explained the results of the knee x-ray, in layman terms. He used a knee model to illustrate the details of a knee replacement. He provided background on his extensive surgical experience and academic leadership. I appreciated his candor and empathy. He answered all my questions and addressed my concerns. When the time comes for my complete knee replacement, Dr Pate is the doctor I will entrust with the operation.
I was a "work-in" because of a post-surgical problem with an incision. Dr. Pate did not rush, explained what had occurred and how to fix it, expressed concern without alarming me, and did a super job dressing the wound. He was also thorough in explaining what we needed to do for wound care going forward.
He is an excellent surgeon.
