It was a pleasure to work with Dr. Rauck when I needed major rotator cuff surgery. He was patient with me, explained everything and answered all of my many questions. At my age (50's) I was concerned about recovery time. Dr. Rauck was very realistic with me about my recovery and obstacles I may face. Pre and post surgery were explained and my questions answered. I saw Dr Ryan Rauck as a second opinion. My first Dr did not want to do surgery on my very badly torn rotator cuff and I was still in pain. Dr Rauck went over my MRI with me and assured me that surgery was my best option since the tear was due to a fall. The Dr and his staff was very professional and explained everything I would be experiencing after the surgery. Dr. Rauck is very professional and has a great bedside manor. Most importantly, he is a skilled and amazing surgeon, and is an expert with his craft. I had a large rotator cuff tear, as well as bone spurs on my shoulder, & was living in constant pain. Three months post op, my pain was gone and my range was better and my strenth was 60% back. Dr. Rauck was thorough, compassionate, and professional. He explained proposed treatments and follow up and made sure I understood what to expect from a reverse total shoulder replacement. It's been six months since the surgery, and my shoulder feels great. Even the incision is completely healed without any significant scarring.
