It's ok With so many good mexican places around, it is really hard to compete. Ruthie's is good. If we had nothing else we would probably think it was fantastic. The food is fine, but to me the prices are a little high. the restaurant is nice, it is clean, the wait staff is friendly. Don't expect to be blown away by the food.
for the best Mexican food outside of Mexico Ruthies is the best Tex-Mex place around. The food portions are large, and delicious. The staff is always so nice and welcoming. The place is always packed with regulars and the specials change often to mix things up. This is also the BEST place to go for a birthday...if you like whipcream on your nose. PROS: great food, great prices CONS: always packed
Food was super bland Place was clean, staff was friendly, but the food was bland and just not that good. Did not hate, but would not go back either. Do not reccommend if you like Mexican food with taste.
LOVED Ruthie's!! – Our experience at Ruthie's has been great food and great service! We are very picky about Mexican food (Husband born and raised in Guadalajara) . His only complaint is the beans. He prefers his more of a mashed bean as compared to the whole bean. Theirs is somewhere in between. I LOVE they way they season their food. It's mild and not over done. My 4 year old gobbles it up!! HORRIBLE SERVICE!! – Absolutely horrible! We were charged for three orders of beef fajitas because three people were at our table when we ordered for two! The manager refused to remove the charge and even took our leftovers from us (which we paid for!) We would NEVER eat there again. So disappointed to just move to Katy and see this is the type of restaurant out here. Do yourself a favor and go to one of the dozens of other GREAT restaurants out here!!
Best Tex mex in Texas – I wish I could give them more stars!! I absolutely love this place! We've been going here every Friday night for the last 6 years! The waiters are so friendly and usually remember exactly what we order! Sometimes we do change it up and it throws them off! The wait is never that long and the food arrives within minutes of ordering, even on Friday night! William is the manager and seems to know everyone that walks in the door! The very best mexician food in town – William and his staff offer good food good service and a great atmosphere! My large family goes there at least once a week and have never been let down in any aspect. I recommend him highly to all my employees and I quite often after church see several church members there also.
FAMILY FRIENDLY, AWESOME WAIT STAFF – I love the food here. It is the best TEX-MEX I have tasted in the Katy area next to Los Cucos. My family loves this place and we eat there once a week at least.
