Save yourself! Arrogant and unethical are the nicest words I can find to describe this company and owner. Nothing was ever their fault and always an excuse as to why they couldn’t work or get the project done on time. They would blame the subcontractors for delays or COVID for materials but when you asked the subcontractors, they would say they were told not to come by the owner himself. Absolutely the WORST company to hire! Our house burned down May 2022 and it took them nearly 18 months to complete. Putting our family on the streets for months literally bc insurance only pays for a year (plenty of time to complete the project) and the owner Don’s response was basically sorry not sorry! It was the company’s fault for not getting this done on time! I had to sacrifice items bc they were never ordered after picking them out a year before. I called Don Rutherford & Son's Construction on the advice of a friend. I had a water pipe rupture and cause a great deal of damage in my basement. They came to the house gave an estimate I could work with. They started to work on time and finished within the schedule. During the job there were hidden obsticles namely black mold. They went the extra mile and repaired the affected areas without asking questions. They charged us for things we paid for ourselves. We had to ask to get a detailed bill. Who knows the stuff we didn't catch..
