Dr. Oneson was a gem. She explained every step that she and her assistant would perform prior to inserting the needle into thyroid nodule. After studying specimen under her microscope, she let my husband and I look also. I knew when I left i had no worries at this time. I would definitely recommend Dr. Oneson.
Dr. Oneson and her assistant,Rick, were fabulous. Dr. Oneson applied a topical anesthetic and performed a fine needle bopsy on my thyroid through my neck and the procedure was painless. She is a pathologist and evaluated the tissue immediately and gave the results. The auxiliary office staff were kind, friendly and professional.
So grateful! I had a biopsy previously at Mercy. It took forever, was painful and results were inconclusive. Dr. Oneson was recommended for a follow-up. Wow! What a difference! How wonderful to have her calm demeanor and be able to hear her opinion right after the biopsy! It was a totally different experience. If you need a thyroid biopsy, go to Dr. Oneson!
Everyone there was very kind and comforting which was what I needed as I was very nervous when I first arrived.
