RUTABEGORZ FULLERTON, the first of three locations, was originally the office and residence of Dr. Olsen, a local well known physician who practiced medicine out of the building for over 40 years. In 1970, it was decided that the town needed a coffee house⦠a place to hang out and discuss the worldâs problems. RUTAâS was born. When it first opened, RUTAâS served only coffee, bagels, ice cream, carrot cake and of course, our famous cheesecake. This restaurant started out vegetarian and expanded from there. Still the emphasis is on fresh healthy ingredients and there are many vegetarian and vegan offerings on the extensive menu The also have homemade desserts and and extensive drink menu including beer and wine
ordered nachos which were OK. artichoke dip was mostly mayo. the veges in the Mexico salad were cut in all shapes n sizes. vege enchiladas had barely any veges cheesecake was horrible

Owner Paul has put together the best restaurant in Fullerton. Near the colleges and shops (and my mom's!) The best wholesome food on thee plant! Great for veg-heads and meat eaters alike. Try it...you'll be back again!
