Step back in time to the 1960's beach scene at Rusty's Surf Ranch on the Santa Monica Pier. The walls and ceiling are decorated with old long surfboards and plasma screen TVs play surfing videos. Patios in the front and back offer a great view of the beach and pier. The main room has a stage for live music and dancing on Friday and Saturday and Karaoke on Monday. I love Rusty's because it's fun, large portions reasonably priced, big drinks and good for the kids. Why pay for the movie tie-in chain restaurant across the way? Crab cakes are best in the West.
When in L.A. I always try to go to Rusty's and get their delicious nachos. They haven't disappointed me so far �
