Absolutely amazing! If you get a chance to do the Denali trip, it is well worth it! Safe and so much fun. Our pilot was knowledgeable and kind. Being able to see the mountains from the plane was incredible. Well worth the money and time.
I think 5 stars is too low to give this once in a lifetime experience!!!! Holy cow!!!! We took a sea plan to Redoubt Bay Lodge for some bear watching and it did not disappoint! The flight was smooth and the pilots gave an amazing tour as we were flying! Every single person was kind, knowledge, and helped ensure we all felt and were safe!!!!!!!
Rust’s Flying Service was an excellent choice to take us to Chinitna Bay in Lake Clark National Park for our bear viewing excursion!! Wow, what an adventure!! Our pilot, Dan, was fabulous. He was very informative and easy going. If given the opportunity, it WILL be a repeat.
Another MUST DO in Alaska! Thank you to Rust's Flying Service for an absolutely beautiful flight over Denali! Took a seaplane over the entire tops of the stunning Denali and landed in a gorgeous blue lake for some pictures!
I would not recommend Rust based on my experience this past week. On June 28, 2026, we booked an 8:00 a.m. flight from Anchorage to Katmai National Park. About 30–45 minutes before landing, we were turned around because the pilot said the weather would not allow us to continue, even though the weather appeared clear and sunny. Rust did provide us with a full refund, but they did not offer any alternative trip or try to help us find another option.
