First surgery had elaborate ankle hardware that was felt over the skin. Hardware removal surgery was suggested by Dr and accepted. Walking boot was given to me by Dr with instructions to bring it with me to the staple removal appointment. Staples removed he asked where my shoe was. No X-rays were taken, NONE. He told me to just leave the boot there. Two weeks later I was walking my dog and it broke in 2 places. Returning to Dr, X-rays were taken. I reminded him of being sent home with no walking boot.
