My fiancé bday party was great
I really wanted to enjoy my brunch experience at The Russell, but from start to finish, it was a disappointment on nearly every level. Let’s start with the staffing situation — because it’s hard to overlook. One server and one hostess running the entire establishment? That is not a brunch service, that is a crisis. Stunningly beautiful decor, great cocktails, super-friendly service. First time there, and we were seeing a play nearby, so our time was limited. Also, don't go early! We were super-early, and the place wasn't close to full. I bet it's even more fun with a lively crowd. Great place for a party of six or eight people.
I have to first say, I've been to Russell a few time and have enjoyed it. However it was just not the same this Mother's Day Brunch! Firstly, pulling up, the garbage can in the parking area was full, overflowing with garbage piling up outside. I had a very disappointing experience at The Russell Restaurant. The customer service was extremely distasteful, and the waitress was disrespectful and unprofessional throughout the visit. On top of that, the restaurant automatically added a very high tip despite the poor service, which made the experience even more frustrating. Unfortunately, the food did not make up for it either.
