Yet another doctor refused to allow recovery. I knew I would recover if the pharmaceuticals were tapered.
Great staff, all the way from the front desk to the clinicians. Very patient and understanding, save for 1 of the on staff doctors. Besides him, I've seen nothing but compassion and respect from everyone else. For the first time in my 25 yrs of using, I see a chance to live a sober life and actually enjoy it..
The CBI program is good. Kelly, Genine, and Carmen were great. Some were very strange, and some were just strange. One staff really liked cats and was nice to me. Mary was the suprivisor and had wonderfull dogs. Monica (sp) the head clinician was nice but was nervous around me. The second group (mens group) was better. CBI rides to grocery store and as a veteran they gave me rides to the veterans hospital. The Harborbrook apts were terrible...lots a bugs. I heard they moved out. They really help if you are actually committed to yourself and your recovery, or taking better control of your mental health. There are many resources for those who need and want the help; provided one is willing to put the work into oneself.
Upon admission, the employees will give you an amount to be paid per session (co-pays). However, be prepared to be surprised with hidden fees and a lack of commitment to agreed prices. I am now stuck paying over $900 for services. In addition, treatment was subpar. I had a different therapist every week and had to explain my story to someone new every week, getting me nowhere.
