Day shift nurses are polite and attentive but the overnight people are neglectful of patients. On multiple occasions I found my loved one neglected and soiled. When you hit the call button, a response time can vary from 5 minutes to 35 minutes. The other annoying factor is the staff all have handicap placards and park in all the free spots forcing people to move to the pay lot. We have been very pleased with our experience at Rush Rehab. In just a few days my husband improved greatly. The nurses, CNAs and therapist have all been excellent. We would recommend Rush Rehab to anyone who needs acute rehab. We are very happy we chose Rush.

My saga began on September 8, 2025, when I underwent a complicated nine+ hour “Big spine surgery/scoliosis correction” performed by Dr. Nathan J. Lee at Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush. When the surgery was completed, I was moved to the Rush ICU for two days, then to their critical care step-down unit for five days, after which I was transferred to Rush Specialty Hospital for a ten-day program of physician-led multi-care team for recovery and rehabilitation.
