DO NOT TRUST RUSH for breast surgery or your reconstruction! Surgeons are using very old techniques! get second opinions! they are not even trained in nerve sparing mastectomies. Not presentation, nerve sparing. They also will be overly aggressive and amputate your nipple and skin unnecessarily. There are lawsuits where their own radiology department called them incompetent.
As a 25-year patient of RUSH Medical I can say it is absolutely the best healthcare facility in Illinois UNTIL you visit their SOUTH LOOP location. The staff is unprofessional and the supervisors have no “say so” when it comes to issues with appointments. My appointment was scheduled for 8:30a and they say…[like with every appointment] arrive 30 mins before. Well my 8:30a appointment had a 30-minute arrival for “prep” which was nonexistent since I didn’t need IV contrast or sedation - NOTHING - just a simple MRI w/o contrast... read more
The doctor came across as condescending and disinterested.
The imaging wait times are awful. I came in for a scheduled CT appt, being told to arrive 30 mins early…just to sit for 2 hours and still not be seen. It is ridiculous and I do not feel like my time was valued as a patient. Not to mention, the appt was already for 6p so it is now 8pm and I am still sitting and waiting for scheduled imaging!
The doctor came across as condescending and disinterested, I cannot recommend this institution as it is not worth the money you will be charged.
